amek072 Cyberian "Tristaris" CS

Order at Bandcamp.

Almost four years in the making, 'Tristaris' is the third full-length album by Stefan Bachvarov as Cyberian. It continues the immersive journey through the realms of contemporary electronic music begun on his previous albums, which at times feels airy and frail, but quickly becomes heavier, faster, and more aggressive. This happens across many dimensions.

On the surface, Cyberian’s tracks feel more straightforward, but the closer you experience ‘Tristaris’, the further you reach within its intricately intertwining layers of hard-hitting percussion, melancholy-drenched melodies, hypnotising ambiance, and meticulously orchestrated sonic details that swirl around you, making the producer’s vision even more vivid. These elements create a constant build-up, not only emotionally but in terms of tempo and intensity. It's the first time we hear Cyberian's signature sound unfold at such BPM, which allows his music to reach a whole new level of energy and emotional charge.

Written and produced by Stefan Bachvarov.
Mastering by Marius Costache (Studio 148).
Artwork by Super Quiet.

amex006 Cate Hops & Unprofessional "Live In Varna" CS

Order at Bandcamp.

In late summer 2025, Cate Hops & Unprofessional travelled to Varna, Bulgaria, for a show at the then newly-opened DIY cultural space TON 618 (see a photo gallery here). The event was a collaboration between Amek & Easterndaze and was a part of the Third Listening Biennial pan-global initiative. In a crammed underground room that was getting warmer by the minute, despite the fading summer, these two artists allowed us to take a peek—or rather, descend —into their cavernous sonic territories.

Both live sets were captivating, personal, and demanding. So, we decided to include them in our EXPERIENCE live tape series. From the live electroacoustic experiments of Cate Hops, which exist somewhere between noise and ambient, to Unprofessional's brief but monolithic digital surges of sound, the music on this tape is as much an exploration as it is a ritual of summoning and shaping the unknown.

Both performances were recorded live by Hristo Belev at TON 618, Varna, on August 29, 2025.

Mastered by Emil Mitov.

EXPERIENCE is a tape series of live recordings, captured during Amek Collective events or guest appearances.
